1. Body parts you can get an STI apart from your vagina
BODY PARTS YOU CAN GET AN STI APART FROM YOUR VAGINA: When we think of sexually transmitted infections (STI), vaginal itching and pelvic pain are the first symptoms that come to our mind. But did you know that these STIs cannot only threaten your health down there but can also infect your other body parts? These infections are transmitted through oral and anal sex, but sometimes can also be transmitted only by direct skin contact.
2. Throat

THROAT: STI in throat is more common than what you think. Gonorrhoea and Chlamydia are the STIs that can be transmitted to your throat if you have oral sex with a person who is already infected with these.

3. Symptoms

SYMPTOMS: According to Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, sometimes the only symptom is a sore throat, which can be mistaken for a normal throat infection and can be scary.

HPV infection can invade the throat and is also thought to be the reason behind the rising cases of neck and head cancers. There are more than 100 types of HPV, the type which is responsible for cervical cancer is HPV 16.

4. Face

FACE: If you have oral sex with someone who has genital herpes, there are fair chances you can get it on your lips. Not only this, genital herpes can infect other parts of your face, specifically around your mouth, nose and tongue.

5. Symptoms

SYMPTOMS: Early signs of herpes on the face are same as that of a sore, tingling and itching. Once the sore develops, it blisters and scabs over. If you think your sore is not normal, check with a dermatologist. The doctor may prescribe you antiviral medicines and advice cold sore remedies.
